After the floods receded we were able to get down to the old hand ferry from Symonds Yat West to East. A cold day but lovely snowy landscape.

Conditions looked good for a misty sunset so a dash across to Seven Sisters Rocks to take the misty Wye Valley and the sunset over Monmouth.

We were rewarded with a slight bit of colour in the sky.

I was fascinated by the layers of trees, water and frosty Coppett Hill in the background.

The river rose to flood levels and made patterns around the flooded trees now engulfed in the swollen river.
